Enter the Chronosphere is an innovative blend of action roguelike and turn-based tactics, where players control aliens battling reality-destroying structures. The title features unique mechanics that seamlessly transition from real-time combat to strategic planning, allowing gamers to tackle challenges at their own pace. Players navigate procedurally generated environments in chronospheres massive structures that consume planets and reproduce their biomes with unpredictable combinations of inhabitants and landscapes. A recruitment system forms the core of Enter the Chronosphere: by completing missions and destroying spheres, players earn the loyalty of a diverse array of alien crew members. Each character possesses unique abilities, from kinetic bursts that deflect incoming projectiles to crucial dodge rolls that help navigate dangerous situations.

The chronospheres themselves present a wildly diverse range of scenarios, from knife-wielding cowboys to clockwork lifeforms and diesel-fueled moles, creating a constantly shifting landscape for players to explore and conquer. Customization plays a central role in gameplay, and gear combines weapons and abilities from the various settings. Players can choose their approach to combat, favoring close combat, ranged attacks, or tactical manipulation of enemies and the environment.
