Description

Theres Nothing Down There drags you into the suffocating darkness of a suburban basement where a persistent whisper claims otherwise. Developed and published by Tim Trankle for release in 2026, this horror adventure game follows a homeowner who discovers a hidden trapdoor beneath the laundry room. The voice from below sounds like a child, but it knows things only the dead should know. You descend into a claustrophobic labyrinth of dirt tunnels, flooded chambers, and rooms that should not exist beneath a family home. The latest version of the game introduces a sound based stealth system where you must hold your breath to avoid attracting the thing that shuffles in the dark.

Horror is psychological and suffocating, with no jump scares, only the growing certainty that you are not alone. Adventure exploration rewards you with diary pages, old photographs, and audio recordings that piece together the fate of previous visitors. You can also find makeshift weapons, but fighting is never the answer. The game uses binaural audio to make every creak and whisper feel uncomfortably close.
