Description

Microlandia, a city-building simulator with an uncompromising level of social authenticity, invites you to assume the role of the head of a megacity facing the harsh realities of urbanism. Instead of the usual simplification of management processes, it implements a complex mathematical model based on open statistics from global financial institutions. The project focuses on aspects of urban life typically ignored by the genre: from homelessness to deep crises in the education and healthcare systems. Every administrative decision sets off a chain of consequences that transform the appearance of territories and affect the well-being of the population.

About This Game

The life cycle of each inhabitant is detailed down to the smallest detail, including employment, interactions with landlords, and health status. The economic component requires a precise balance in the distribution of budget funds for road network maintenance and social services. Setting corporate tax rates and licensing fees determines the viability of the private sector, while excessive fiscal pressure triggers an immediate decline in commerce. A shortage of affordable housing or a shortage of parking spaces quickly impacts citizen sentiment, forcing them to seek ways to optimize space.

The mayor receives feedback through census data and press columns, which are prone to scathing criticism of any government miscalculations. Newspaper headlines document rising unemployment and crime spikes, tying the reports to specific addresses. The city's stable development is interrupted by crises, which occur approximately every five years. Such incidents test the resilience of the existing infrastructure, often pushing the administration to the brink of bankruptcy.

Step-by-step setup process

No installation is needed — this release is fully pre-installed and ready to play, so you can skip setup wizards and long updates entirely.
Extract the archive (RAR/ZIP) to a short, Latin-only path like C:\Games\GameName using WinRAR or 7-Zip — and never launch the game from inside the archive, as that is the top cause of launch failures.
Launch the game via Run Me!.bat (or the main .exe file) in the game folder. If nothing happens, right-click it and choose Run as administrator.
