Sister Other Paranoia

Sister Other Paranoia is a dark psychological horror visual novel developed by HazeDenki and published by Serenity Forge. It launched on Steam on August 14, 2026, and its creators describe it as a story about loneliness, mind reading, and a bond that grows twisted.

The story follows a light novel writer who is painfully sensitive to the emotions of everyone around him. After his debut work wins a newcomer award, he gains the ability to read minds. The envy and hostility that follow push him deeper into seclusion, and the few people still close to him hurt his fragile heart without meaning to. His only refuge is his younger sister, who lives with him. The two cling to each other and slowly sink into an unhealthy, codependent bond. "Onii chan, you really are a lonely person," she tells him, and her quiet devotion becomes the only warmth left in his life.

As friction with the outside world grows, the protagonist discovers he can use his mind reading in darker ways. In moments of rage he can attack the deepest insecurities of those who wrong him, driving them to ruin. The narrative asks how far he is willing to go, and what happiness truly means for him and his sister. The ending depends on the path the player chooses.

Gameplay follows the classic visual novel format. Text fills the whole screen and advances with a click, and players can hide it with a right click to enjoy the artwork. Choices made along the way shape the protagonist's morality, the course of events, and lead to multiple endings.

The project was directed by nyalra, who also wrote the scenario. Artwork comes from Ohisashiburi, the soundtrack is composed by Aiobahn +81, UI design was handled by Maruino, the logo was made by Yuto Hama, and programming was done by HAYAO. The creators allow full streaming and video coverage of the game, including complete playthroughs and monetized content, with no restrictions on which parts may be shown.
