Interrogation You will be deceived — is an independent noir-style adventure game in which we play the role of a detective investigating the mysterious terrorist organization Liberation Front. The small studio Critique Gaming is responsible for the game. During interrogation, as an investigator, members of a terrorist group called the Liberation Front were told in an interview. This organization invites everyone into its ranks — men, women and children from different fields and with different views — as long as there are as many of them as possible. Their goal is to completely destroy the social system and build a new one based on it. Our task is to get as much information from them as possible and decide whether we want to help them or stop them.

About This Game

The main element of the Interrogation game is the holding of hearings by group members. They are shown in the form of dialogues between suspects and those whom we decided to continue the conversation. With each participant interviewed, they become more and more complex and require us to understand the psyche of the suspect, which is not always easy to read. During conversations, we must use various persuasion techniques to hear what we need. Manipulations, threats, false accusations, questions about the same thing over and over, these are just some of them. Each of our choices can lead to the desired (or not) effect, so we must carefully listen and observe the character appearing in front of us on the screen.

Each of the suspects is individual, so you should know his story, where it came from, what he does and what he thinks about different things. All this will allow us to better compare it with a specific psychological portrait and understand which interview method will work better than the other. But we cannot try endlessly. Each hearing may take a certain amount of time, during which we can find out the relevant facts or be deceived by believing in false testimonies. All of this affects one of the many endings that we see in this heading.

However, listening is not enough, since the control aspect also plays an important role in the game. Our department has a limited budget, so we need to carefully plan our expenses. We need to properly manage our human resources and send subordinates to missions in accordance with their skills, decide how to present events to the press, professional colleagues or politicians. The graphic design of the survey is saturated with a noir atmosphere and is fully supported in black and white monochrome mode. It is worth noting that the characters in the game are hand-drawn based on hundreds of photographs taken by the team of each of the 40 characters playing roles.
