Description

Warhammer Chaosbane Tomb Kings — in the deserts of Nekhekara, whole legions of skeleton warriors rise from under the hot sand to destroy strangers encroaching on their possessions. Nehekara — the dead kingdom of endless dunes, covered in the blood of savages and barbarians. This is the Land of the Dead, where the embalmed kings are doomed to rule forever in their non-life. But it was not always so. Once the ancient kingdom of Nehekar was the pearl of human civilization. The cities of Nechekara were astonished by luxury and grandeur, its armies subjugated entire nations, and its kings ruled people like gods. But a thousand years ago, the vile Nagash destroyed the kingdom with his witchcraft: all living things died instantly, and the dead rose from their graves.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
