Dark Hope A Puzzle Adventure — adventure game with elements of horror, which was made in the style of steampunk. Fairly good decision, here is a similar game in the first person. Thanks to the good graphics, the right music and sound effects, the atmosphere here is very full of strange and scary moments. So, the plot of the game, you as the main character wake up in a dark corridor, there is no way out, wherever you look, there is only darkness around. Where you ended up and why, this is the first task you need to complete. Explore the corridors of a strange building, collect podskodki and solve puzzles. The game has a lot of tips and various books, audio recordings and notes, carefully examine each room.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.

Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
