Description

Starfighter Origins is a first-person sci-fi space simulator based on classic games from the late 90s. You will find the gameplay fully focused on battles, you will not be distracted by dialog boxes, trade or multiplayer, only a single passage with four modes and six types of combat ships. The task of the protagonist is simple fly and destroy everything that moves. You have a ship and a desire to destroy everything around you, so what are you waiting for.

NOTES. With the release of the v1.7 update many files changed so we decided to make a new standalone.

About This Game

Starfighter Origins is a 90s-style game that is very similar to products like Wing Commander, Freespace, and Star Wars. Among them is a new game that is designed for a motley audience. Cool shootings on spaceships, great futuristic atmosphere and the ability to improve your fighting skills. The developer tried to discard everything superfluous and unnecessary and focused specifically on the combat component, so here in the game you will not find either trade or elements of a strategy. Only you and the six kinds of different combat fighters.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
