Description

Dark Space — an exciting game that tells the story of a man who crashed on his spaceship and made an emergency stop at an unknown station. The essence of the gameplay is that you feel completely alone and explore the space station. And here you will find a very unusual atmosphere, gloomy locations, burning decks of the space station, traps from which you can’t get out, the mystery revealed during the course of the game, and the changing environment. A game for those who walk in splendid isolation and explore unfamiliar places.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
