Description

Dawn of Fear — is a horror game in which players play the role of Alex, a young guy with a tragic fate. Players must survive in a mysterious and gloomy mansion full of puzzles and puzzles. The game was created with the participation of the support program for Spanish indie developers PlayStation Talents. The protagonist Alex, who has survived several deaths of close relatives before, returns to his house after receiving a letter from a recently deceased crazy stepmother to collect his belongings. But, having arrived, he finds himself in an ominous world of horrors and cruelty. Dawn of Fear offers classic 90s survival horror gameplay with a fixed camera. It is necessary to solve puzzles and economically use ammunition in battles with monsters.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
