Description

Chicken Police — is an original adventure game developed by the independent studio The Wild Gentlemen. Sources of inspiration for creators include both classic noir films from the 1940s Deep Sleep, Gilda, Double Insurance and video games such as Grim Fandango and Snatcher. The chicken police take us on a journey to the fictional city of Clavville, home to anthropomorphic animals. The main characters of this game, Sonny Featherland and Marty McChicken, are legendary detectives who once made up a truly brilliant duo, but at some point they parted ways. While the first fell into drunkenness, the second hides the problems that brought him to the brink. As they are forced to solve a strange but mysterious case, the main characters must again join forces and together plunge into the underworld of Clavville.

About This Game

Chicken Police combines elements of adventure games with visual novels. During the game, the most important thing is to talk to over thirty characters. Some turn out to be unconnected with each other, others hide a number of secrets that are revealed only during interrogations. We meet with them in different places; there are over thirty places to visit in Clavville, many of which change over time. As we move forward, we receive evidence and evidence which will therefore enable us to complete our investigation, and we get into big trouble.

Suffice it to say that the game features, among other things, a spectacular chase. Chicken Police offers extremely original graphic designs. The graphics have been preserved almost entirely in monochromatic colors, and the backgrounds and animal characters in the game have been made as realistic as possible. The interactive noir experience is enhanced by the atmospheric soundtrack that accompanies the game.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
