Description

Fragments — is a two-dimensional psychological, perverted interactive fiction, the action of which takes place in the very near future. You play Evan, a young man who tries to decide whether he has committed a serious crime or not. If he fails to find the truth by reconstructing some of his most traumatic memories, he risks spending the rest of his life behind bars. Two detectives stand in his way, and both claim that it is in Evan’s interest to provide them with the necessary information. Make a decision. Affect the results. Occupy Evan’s mind and formulate his conclusions on the object. Uncover the eerie, disturbing events that led to Evan’s unfortunate situation. Listen to Evan’s conscience or go against it. This is your decision. If you want, help the detectives in their investigation. Exciting original soundtrack created especially for Fragments.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process

No installation is needed — this release is fully pre-installed and ready to play, so you can skip setup wizards and long updates entirely.
Extract the archive (RAR/ZIP) to a short, Latin-only path like C:\Games\GameName using WinRAR or 7-Zip — and never launch the game from inside the archive, as that is the top cause of launch failures.
Launch the game via Run Me!.bat (or the main .exe file) in the game folder. If nothing happens, right-click it and choose Run as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

Install the required runtimes if the game reports a missing DLL or fails to start: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86 and x64) and DirectX Runtime. If the release includes a Redist or _CommonRedist folder, check it first.
Check Windows Security quarantine if files are missing after extraction. Restore only files you trust, then add the game folder to exclusions if necessary.
Use a short Latin-only folder path, for example C:\Games\GameName. Avoid Cyrillic characters, very long paths and special symbols.
Run the game from its main executable after extraction. If nothing happens, try Run as administrator and check the full FAQ for the exact error message.
