Description
Bloodborne was released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4. It was made by FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the author of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but the game never officially appeared on computers. This build brings the Game of the Year edition along with The Old Hunters expansion to PC. The hero comes to ancient Yarnam for medicine: they say that the local blood cures any diseases.
The city is gripped by an epidemic that turns residents into animals, and it disperses faster than the townspeople have time to lock the doors. Crowds with torches roam the streets, creatures hide on the roofs, and the hero himself becomes one of the hunters who went out on the Night of Hunting. What really happened to Yarnam has to be figured out piece by piece, and the deeper, the stranger the answers become.
You won't be able to sit here. The health lost from the impact partially returns if you immediately respond to the enemy, so the game constantly pushes to attack. The weapon changes shape right in the fight, and the gun in the left hand is needed for counterattacks: an accurate shot at the time of someone else's swing opens the enemy for finishing. The Old Hunters adds a separate story campaign about the past of the hunters, who once turned the Yarns into a platform for their crazy games.
How the port works
The port is unofficial and does without a full-fledged emulator. It runs the executable file version 1.09 (CUSA03173) through its own runtime with a render on Vulkan, the processor is not emulated. The project is still experimental, but the saves, sound and gamepad are already working. Frame rate is unlocked, modes from 30 to 90 fps are available, and more can be obtained on powerful hardware. The picture is pulled up by FSR 3.1 and FSR 4 with scaling to 4K, the resolution and sharpness change directly in game. Works all on Windows 10/11 and Linux x64, so downloading the Bloodborne torrent makes sense for those who are not on Windows. Mods and third-party patches are connected without changing the original files.
