Description
DEMONS NIGHT FEVER is a tactical role-playing game where the usual canons of the genre are turned upside down for the sake of demonstrating absolute evil. The story takes place in an alternate world where an all-powerful ruler of dark forces named Giga Super Death finds himself. An unexpected transformation makes the formidable lord a helpless baby before the final victory over the deity. Trying to regain lost power, the former tyrant concludes a strange alliance with Kiroshiro Katanaka, a gloomy young man who despises the surrounding reality. Joint efforts lead to a series of dubious rituals and criminal acts that change the balance of power.
Such atrocities serve as the foundation for progress in DEMONS NIGHT FEVER, as the brutal treatment of subordinates directly increases combat power. The gameplay is built around a pawn exploitation system that allows sacrifice allies for the sake of destructive attacks. Between battles, the protagonist develops a shelter, spending points accumulated for abominations on improving characteristics. Kidnappings and robberies give the army additional potential. Each victory over the bosses of the heads radically rebuilds reality, forcing the squad to face absurd opponents like magic girls or super rangers. Bright visual style and eccentric musical accompaniment emphasizes the satirical tone, offering a fresh look at the genre.
