Description

This indie first person psychological survival horror game called Den Den Tokyo Horror is a dark story created by Frozen Lake Software. You play as a caregiver in a dystopian blocked Tokyo where society is completely collapsing and old people outnumber the young three to one. The world is an open city without food or power where you must spend a tense night trying to keep abandoned elders alive. The main plot focuses on heavy moral decisions because you simply do not have enough medical supplies or food to save everyone under your watch. Right here on this catalog page you can easily check the system requirements to see if your PC can handle the dark city streets and look at the actual screenshots and gameplay videos to see the terrifying atmosphere before you jump in.

The gameplay forces you to survive exactly eight hours in real time while managing your scarce resources and inventory. You explore the dangerous night streets from a first person view to scavenge for items while using stealth or combat to deal with creepy entities and violent crime. Every decision you make carries a heavy weight because choosing to feed one person means leaving another to starve which directly alters how the story ends. Right in this hub you can always find out the latest version of the game and read the actual patch note to see what specific bugs the developers fixed or what performance updates they introduced recently.

Patch Notes

Official changelists for the builds of this game

Hotfix #3

Build 25938392

Major Fixes:

  • Fixed multiple major bugs that were creating soft locks across the entire game.
  • Dog Lady questline is now correctly being triggered and completed.
  • Yakuza questline failure is now being triggered correctly.
  • KageTeku Plaza, KageTeku Tower, and KageTeku Underground are now accessible to all players after reaching the correct point in the game. Access was not being granted due to a bug with the clock events not triggering correctly.
  • Fixed multiple issues with the Prison level.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing a special monster from spawning during the course of the night. (This is connected to the Dog Lady questline)
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing some players from seeing the two "bad" endings for the game. These are now both working as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Gig Worker" achievement was not always being granted to players correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the 10th elderly patient was not being assigned to the player when the clock reached 22:15.
Minor Fixes:
  • Fixed issue where a specific NPC was always stuck in a T-Pose.
  • Fixed issue related to rain occlusion in the Church level.
  • Fixed hole in the ground that players could fall into.

Developers Note:

Some of the fixes we've implemented in this hotfix will only work on new games, or games that haven't reached certain points in the story. Unfortunately, some of the fixes are impossible to make retro-active due to the nature of what was causing the bugs. We apologize for the inconvenience these bugs may have caused you.

Hotfix #2

Build 25936629

Major Fixes:

  • Changed how auto-saves work. Auto-saves now exclusively re-use the same file and overwrites itself as the auto-save system is activated. This prevents auto-save from creating dozens of save files and the player losing game progress due to silently running out of save slots.
  • Auto-saves have their own unique save file, separate from the 30 manual saves a player is currently allowed. This brings the total maximum saves to 31. Players are still limited to 30 manual save slots, with the 31st slot being exclusively utilized by the auto-save feature.
  • Fixed an issue when using the "Quick Save" (which is bound to F5 by default, but can be changed in the input settings) would crash the game for some players.
  • "Quick Save" now uses the same save slot as auto-save. If you have an auto-save file, using "Quick Save" will now overwrite it.
  • Fixed issue where when a player would reach the maximum number of manual save slots, a prompt would display letting them overwrite the oldest save file, but the button to perform the overwrite action was not working correctly. The overwrite button now works as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where the "End of Hour" data was not always properly being saved to the save file. This issue was causing certain players to lose critical progress after re-loading the game.
Minor Fixes:
  • Replaced an incorrect texture that was being displayed on the Recycle Machine UI.
  • Fixed a glitch that allowed players to see something that they shouldn't normally see.
  • Fixed a bug that showed the bible in the Church level as an interactable object, when it shouldn't be.
  • Fixed a bug that showed an incorrect facial animation on a specific dead character in the game story. (He looked alive even though he was supposed to be dead!)
  • Fixed a bug where rain was coming through a roof when it should have been blocked by the roof.
