Garfield Escape from Monday

Garfield Escape from Monday is a bright three dimensional adventure platformer that tells a funny story about the laziest orange cat in the world. The story line begins when the owner of the cat named Jon decides to cook an unusual lasagna with spinach based on a recipe from the mysterious Chef Monday. Garfield devours this meal and due to the abundance of hated vegetables immediately falls into a deep food coma where his mind gets trapped in a real nightmare. This bizarre dream is completely filled with flying broccoli scary cauliflowers and sugar free candies which is the ultimate torture for our main hero. The player will have to help the scared cat pass through numerous challenges defeat his culinary fears reactivate his sleeping taste buds and eat gigantic mountains of proper meat lasagna to finally wake up and return home safely.

The gameplay is completely focused on platform jumping collecting tasty items and fighting strange garden enemies. The main mechanic of the game relies heavily on feline agility and the strategic use of three unique costumes that drastically change the abilities of Garfield during his walkthrough. While wearing a turkey suit the cat can glide smoothly through the air and cross huge gaps a surfer outfit allows him to slide fast over water surfaces and a cowboy costume grants a powerful lasso for swinging on hooks and pulling distant objects. Of particular interest is that the food gathered across the levels allows players to engage in full remodeling and customization of rooms in the real house of Jon by purchasing funny pieces of furniture. Among the interesting features of the project is the appearance of all iconic comic strip characters including the loyal dog Odie and the teddy bear Pooky alongside the presence of over forty diverse levels set in three unique worlds where the cat will have to face his archenemies Nermal the kitten and the sneaky mice.
