The game Graveyard Keeper 2 is a darkly comedic role playing game and the most historically inaccurate medieval cemetery management simulator ever created. The story line once again plunges the player into a mysterious and completely absurd fantasy world, where the main character is forced to take full control over a neglected graveyard, a shady autopsy morgue, and surrounding lands. However this time the stakes are much higher because a massive zombie apocalypse is looming over the kingdom. The player will have to step into the boots of a fierce Inquisitor, completely rebuild a ruined nearby town, uncover the dark secrets of the local church, and protect regular citizens from the undead threat while turning the gloomy occupation into a thriving profitable enterprise.

The gameplay and core mechanics are heavily focused on deep resource gathering, complex item crafting, and precise time management. The player receives delivered corpses, carefully extracts valuable internal organs for research, and buries the remains properly to boost the overall quality rating of the cemetery. The main upgrade in this sequel lies in advanced workforce automation, allowing you to resurrect obedient zombies, teach them separate tasks, give them specialized tools, and assign them to gather wood, mine stones, or assemble intermediate parts on custom workshop benches. Of particular interest is that this project introduces a fully featured tactical combat system, where you can raise your own loyal army of the dead, build defensive towers, forge sturdy knight armor, and lead your forces into grand battles against aggressive monsters. Among the most amusing and unique features is the addition of a medieval sauna building where the keeper can quickly lift his spirits after a hard day of labor, alongside a special class of elite undead shock guards who literally manage to generate pure gold coins right in the middle of a fight.
