Description

The atmospheric psychological horror game called Jurnal Malam Bestfriend explores the strong bond between two long time friends named Afdal and Rahmad. The story kicks off with a simple favor when Rahmad asks Afdal to watch over his house for just one night. However this peaceful housesitting routine quickly transforms into a terrifying nightmare filled with paranormal entities and ancient mystical occurrences. Playing as Afdal you must survive the dark hours and uncover the hidden secrets buried within the walls of your closest friend house.

The core gameplay mechanics focus on deep first person exploration of pitch black rooms and interaction with environmental objects to survive. Players need to search for hidden clues and solve various eerie puzzles to advance through the narrative and unlock new areas. A fascinating aspect of the game is its slow build tension where supernatural forces mess with your mind rather than just attacking. It is also very interesting to know that this indie project was entirely made by a single passionate developer from Indonesia who perfectly captured authentic local ghost stories.
