Description
Obstacle Overdrive is a cozy and bright adventure game about driving toy cars that takes players into the nostalgic atmosphere of a nineties-era children's room. The essence of the game lies not in the usual speed races, but in the study of the colorful miniature universe and the careful overcoming of complex obstacle courses built from everyday things. Instead of professional tracks, you travel through accumulations books, old videocassettes, designers, cubes, stuffed animals and synthesizers, trying to maintain balance and get to the finish line without loudly falling to the floor.
The main game mechanics of the game is tied to realistic physics and careful control of each of the five available models of cars, each of which has its own unique control style and character. There is no timer here at all as the developers have made betting on patience, balance of movement, and tactical timing to drive safely past shaky obstacles. In the process of slowly moving through the rooms, you are forced to maneuver on bridges from logs, play car bowling, cross pools with marble balls and collect hidden coins with funny hats to customize your small transport.
