SILENT HILL Townfall

The game Silent Hill Townfall is a dark psychological horror that takes the famous universe of terror to the foggy shores of Scotland at the end of the last century. The main character named Simon wakes up on the beach of St Amelia island with a medical tube in his arm and complete memory loss. He needs to explore the empty streets of a fishing village covered in thick otherworldly fog to uncover the secret of a terrible tragedy and find a missing nurse. The plot masterfully blurs the line between the reality of the hero and his nightmarish hallucinations making the player constantly doubt everything around them.

The main mechanic of the gameplay is completely built on stealth survival and solving complex puzzles from a first person perspective. The main tool for survival is an old portable television that helps Simon catch mysterious signals through walls detect hidden monsters and switch between memories. It is better to avoid direct confrontations with creepy creatures by using stealth hiding in closets or distracting monsters by throwing bricks and bottles. An interesting fact is that this is the first game in the series where the action takes place outside the usual locations of the United States and the developers paid huge attention to the atmosphere of nineties technology.
