Description
The Core is an immersive third person action adventure puzzle game from Electric Machine Games where you embody an autonomous artificial intelligence unit waking up with no memory inside a vast long forgotten facility. Set in a bleak dystopian near future where humanity has mysteriously vanished you must explore the dark rusted corridors and decaying structures to uncover your true identity and piece together the tragic history of the world. Along your perilous path to the surface you are joined by an enthusiastic network assistant AI named LANDA who helps guide you through the sprawling vacant complex as you unlock secrets that could potentially allow humanity to thrive once more.
The core gameplay mechanics center on your unique form as a rolling sphere allowing you to utilize specialized pipes and rails to solve environmental puzzles and rapidly traverse massive distances. Equipped with a highly versatile zapper tool you can interact with the environment by activating switches moving heavy objects opening security doors and defending yourself against hostile automated systems. Progress requires careful timing and ingenuity to manipulate complex physics elements such as pressure plates giant fans launchers moving platforms and power switches creating an engaging loop of exploration and creative problem solving.
