The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak 2

The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak 2 is an action RPG that continues the story in the Republic of Calvard. The game takes place in the year 1209 of the Septian calendar. Spriggan Van Arkrid investigates a series of brutal murders linked to a mysterious crimson beast that has killed an elite criminal investigation squad. The game features an improved combat system that combines field and team battles with new mechanics: Cross Charge allows perfect dodges to trigger powerful attacks to swap allies, and EX Chains are devastating combo attacks on stunned enemies. Players can complete chapters in the order that suits them, each focusing on a different character and their unique missions — from hacking the orb network as the AI ​​Mare to conducting stealth operations as the Pig.

The story centers on Van Arkrid, a love-struck Spriggan who can transform into the armored form of Grendel, and his connections with Agnès Claudel, a student searching for ancient orbs, and Elaine Auclair, an A-rank Bracer and his former lover. The game is set in Calvard, a melting pot country that has recently become the continent’s most powerful nation, and takes place across various locations, including the historic port city of Messeldam. The narrative weaves together themes of law, justice, and power as various factions pursue their own agendas amidst growing chaos, following the events following the defeat of the Almata Organization.
