VARLET

VARLET takes you into the life of a new student at Kosei Academy, offering you a choice: to lead others as a leader or to rule over them undividedly. Meeting young men and women who are going through a personal crisis pushes the protagonist to reveal unknown facets of his personality. These relationships become the basis for a path to self-knowledge, rather than achieving external goals. The school is shrouded in strange rumors, hinting at a reality hidden under the cover of everyday life, ready to emerge at any moment.

The plot of VARLET picks up speed with the appearance of another world on the school grounds, known as the Glitch. This alternate dimension is inhabited by bizarre creatures, and anyone who ends up there finds themselves trapped with no way to return. Having personally encountered the Glitch, the protagonist makes a shocking discovery that changes everything. Some people at the academy are no longer human, having been replaced by monstrous entities that mimic their appearance and behavior, turning everyday school life into a source of psychological tension.

The gameplay combines communication within the framework of modern school life and exploration of a bizarre otherworldly dimension with turn based tactical clashes. The decisions made directly affect the protagonist's path, determining who the player will become a mentor or an uncompromising ruler. Interaction with other characters plays a key role both in the plot and in the self-realization of all the characters. Leading such a dual existence, the protagonist confronts the creatures that have infiltrated the academy and investigates the root cause of the Glitch itself.
