Hachishakusama

Hachishakusama is a Japanese horror adventure with adult themes by Fukachi World. The story follows a young boy named Saku who visits the rural village of Kibuse with his father, and ends up captivating a mysterious ghost that dwells in the land. That ghost is Hachishakusama, the eight feet tall urban legend.

From the moment of that encounter, Saku finds himself trapped in days with no escape. The ghost is always by his side, never leaving, and his summer begins to change in ways he cannot control. The game asks whether the feeling she brings is fear or something else entirely.

The setup is intimate and quiet. Left behind in the village after his father departs, Saku completes errands for his grandfather and interacts with a girl he meets there. These peaceful tasks slowly give way to stranger events, as the gears of fate begin to turn around the boy.

The countryside sets a soothing atmosphere. Scenery shifts with the passing of time, and gentle sounds of nature fill the background. This calm presentation makes the horror moments hit harder, because the player knows something is wrong inside a place that looks safe.

Escape sequences drive the action. Hachishakusama loves to play, and the player must hide from her sight, run for survival and find ways to outsmart her. The encounters mix tension with the slower exploration sections, creating a rhythm of calm and panic.

Controls follow the first person adventure standard. Movement uses WASD, interaction maps to E, the task list opens with Tab, and the mouse handles camera and text advancement. The layout is simple, so the focus stays on the story and the chase.

The game carries adult, eroge and nudity tags, which means mature content is part of the experience. Players who are not comfortable with these themes should check the content warnings before starting.
