West of Dead

West of Dead is a classic representative of shooters with a characteristic top-down view. The game West of Dead takes place in the city of Purgatory in Wyoming. The year is 1888, and the place where our protagonist is, the dead man William Mason, is a dark place filled with death and sin. This is not the classic Wild West — it is full of chaos and full of dead criminals, humanoid Wendigo and witches, which must be eliminated in their path.

About This Game

William Mason, who looks like the main character of a comic book, is awakened by the undead, and all that he remembered in his head is an image of a man in black. So begins a journey full of corpses, which for him looks like a nightmare. A nightmare filled with supernatural phenomena that has become a reality right from the dark.

West of Dead is a traditional top-down shooter, so it’s all about defeating numerous enemies. In addition to the shooting system typical of this genre, the hero can avoid blows and shots, rolling, sliding on the ground and over obstacles, as well as hiding behind shields, shooting at targets from there. The action is very dynamic, and the number of dead bodies is huge. The game also draws elements from roguelikes to reduce the feeling of uniformity. Randomly generated locations help diversify the gameplay.
