RealPolitiks 2

Realpolitik 2 — is the second installment in the strategy game series released in 2017. The game was developed by the authors of the first part of the series, that is, the Polish studio Jujubee, and like the original allows us to lead the president-elect on the way to world domination. Realpolitik II begins by choosing one of 216 countries, including exotic countries such as Kiribati and Sealand. We still have nothing to do but try to make our country a world empire. It depends only on us whether we will respect the principles of democracy and the laws governing the free market, or will trust the communist ideals. During the game, we spend most of our time on the world map, and we solve issues related to the development of infrastructure and maintaining more or less positive relations.

About This Game

From time to time we are faced with the aftermath of over a thousand random events, as well as modern challenges such as hunger, pandemic or terrorism. Compared to the first part of the series, the game boasts completely rebuilt economic management and warfare systems, as well as extensive diplomacy. Among other things, buildings speed up unit recruitment, provide protection against enemy attacks, or even expand our troops' supply lines. Work on new projects and technologies out of more than a thousand available and trade also play an important role on the path to domination. New diplomatic actions such as non-aggression pacts, military agreements, trade agreements and complex peace negotiations help maintain good relations with individual countries.

In addition, we can send spies to our friends and enemies. Over time, these units gain experience and improve their abilities. In a state of war, we use a completely new combat system. The battles take place on separate maps covered with a grid of square fields, and during clashes, not only the formation, equipment and strengths and weaknesses of our units must be taken into account, but also the terrain or weather conditions. Battles are fought both on land and at sea and in the air.

Realpolitik II only allows one to play in three extensive campaigns. The game has built-in tools for creating mods such as campaigns, scenarios, units or countries and sharing them with the community. Although the graphic design of Realpolitiks II does not differ significantly from what other global strategy games are used to, the game has clearly improved everything in relation to the visual realm of the first part of the series. The user interface has also been improved and made more transparent.
