Game trailer: Prescribe and Pray

Description
Prescribe and Pray is a wry interpretation of the healthcare system, transporting players to France in 1999. Players assume the role of a medic without proper training or permission to practice at the Last Breath facility, where the administration's commercial interests are prioritized over the well-being of patients. The key objective is not to provide care, but to meticulously examine documentation and filter out dubious individuals. Anyone seeking help could be a fraudster with forged documents or an invalid insurance policy. A climate of general suspicion is exacerbated by behind-the-scenes dealings, corruption, and pressure from management, transforming everyday activities into a complex moral struggle.
The game's mechanics rely on a thorough analysis of each situation, for which the medic is provided with an arsenal of basic equipment, including a flashlight, a thermometer, and a blood pressure monitor. Using these items, players must diagnose ailments, sometimes bordering on the absurd, like the sudden appearance of a tail. Success in Prescribe and Pray is determined by the ability to meticulously compare personal information with official documents, expose malingerers with falsified certificates, and write prescriptions that can be fatal. Every mistake directly impacts the size of the reward, and in the worst case scenario, the patient's name is published on the list of the deceased.
