Description

The Oily Depths is a dark psychological horror game set in the claustrophobic confines of a deep-sea submarine. The game immerses players in a harrowing atmosphere, created through a low-detail visual style and oppressive soundtrack. The entire gameplay is built around direct interaction with the environment and complex mechanisms. The protagonist must master the operation of numerous levers, switches, and clamps to effectively complete tasks. The situation is exacerbated by constant threats: they must quickly repair breaches in the hull, extinguish sudden fires, and confront monstrous creatures that seek to damage the equipment.

The main objective is to locate and extract oil fields, following the instructions of a mysterious voice coming from the communication system. The Oily Depths presents the player with a series of strict conditions, without which survival is impossible. To ensure faceless management doesn't cut off the oxygen supply, it's necessary to:

pilot the underwater vehicle using only instrument readings;
maintain a complex drilling rig using instructions on the onboard computer;
respond promptly to any emergencies or damage;
strickenly adhere to resource extraction quotas set by management.

Step-by-step setup process

No installation is needed — this release is fully pre-installed and ready to play, so you can skip setup wizards and long updates entirely.
Extract the archive (RAR/ZIP) to a short, Latin-only path like C:\Games\GameName using WinRAR or 7-Zip — and never launch the game from inside the archive, as that is the top cause of launch failures.
Launch the game via Run Me!.bat (or the main .exe file) in the game folder. If nothing happens, right-click it and choose Run as administrator.
