Description

Twin Mirror — is a narrative adventure game in which we have to play as a man of about 30 years old, his name is Samuel. His friend had a heart attack, and now we have to return to his hometown of Basswood, on the outskirts of West Virginia, in order to be at the funeral. Only now, not everything is so smooth, at night, in a hotel, he wakes up in someone’s blood, even worse, he cannot remember what happened last night. As with most narrative adventure games, the gameplay focuses on exploration, dialogue, and various mysteries. The city and its inhabitants hide many secrets that are gradually revealed during the game. Interestingly, the game takes place not only in the physical world. As Samuel tries to retrieve his memories, players haunt his mind, his abstract reality offering new challenges for history and exploration. Twin Mirror story is highly non-linear. The player’s decisions form the relationship between him and the other characters.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
