Description

Surviving Mars Below and Beyond — project adds a number of new buildings, changes existing technologies and introduces several innovations that will help us explore dungeons and mine resources from asteroids. We have added a couple of new products for players who will not become participants in the Below and Beyond project. Basically, they are about improving the interface and new control options, with which you can build the colony you want, and do not miss out on anything important. Gathering in dungeons and asteroids will open up basic travel tools. Both dungeons and asteroids are at first dangerous for colonists, so it seemed appropriate to us to give the opportunity to bring them after you get to know the new regions.

NOTE. This release is standalone and includes the following DLC.

About This Game

  • Back to the Bases — Expand your colony into caves and lava tubes under the surface. Players can use existing structures, or underground-specific buildings to build a base for exploration. Expand with caution, potential cave-ins can destroy everything.
  • Mine Your Own Business — Players can now go below the surface and beyond the red planet for resource mining. Construct special rocket-propelled buildings to mine resources, including exotic minerals and Data Samples, on passing asteroids. Don’t stick around too long or else the Asteroid will drift away with your stuff.
  • Branching Paths — The Recon and Expansion research trees unlock additional buildings, vehicles, upgrades, and locales. They will also unlock asteroid mining and tunnel colonization.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

  1. Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.

  2. Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.

  3. After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.

  4. Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.
