Lord Winklebottom Investigates — is a point-and-click adventure game inspired by the works of Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle. The game was developed by Cave Monsters, an independent personal studio, and more specifically, Charlotte Sutherland, who previously worked for companies such as Sumo Digital, Rare and Electronic Arts. Lord Winklebottoms research takes us to an alternative version of the 1920s, in which anthropomorphic animals replace humans. The protagonist of the game is Lord Winklebottom, a giraffe detective who is invited to Barghest Island by his childhood friend, the salamander Aristotle Gilfrey.

Our protege has no choice but to immediately start an investigation and find the killer. Winklebottom is accompanied by hippo doctor Reginald Frumple, an animal anatomy specialist. When playing Lord Winklebottom Investigates, we mainly talk to NPC to get as much information as possible from them both about the inhabitants of the island and about other guests invited by Aristotle, look for useful items and solve puzzles.
