Description
God of War III Remastered completes the Greek trilogy about Kratos. The Spartan warrior, who once became the god of war, was betrayed by his own father, King Zeus of Olympus, and now leads the Titans to storm the mountain of the gods to take revenge. The game begins immediately after the finale of the second part: Kratos climbs the slopes of Olympus with the Titans, and the gods are waiting for him upstairs, ready to protect their home.
The way to Zeus is through Poseidon, Hades, Helios, Hermes, and Hercules, and each such encounter ends violently. Battles are fought on a huge scale, sometimes right on the body of a titan who crawls up the mountain. Kratos slashes enemies with the Blades of Exile, and later receives other weapons taken from the defeated opponents. Along the way, he meets Pandora, and it depends on this girl how his revenge ends.
The PlayStation 4 remaster came out in 2015 and ported the game from the PS3 to 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second.
Native port on PC
This build is unofficial and works without the PlayStation 4 emulator. The console is built on the same x86-64 architecture as a regular computer, so the game executable runs directly on the processor, and the system libraries of the console are replaced by the environment written for the project. The game can already be played from start to finish. Saves work and automatically reserved, the graphics are output via Vulkan 1.3, the resolution is set from 480p to 4K, and the engine holds up to 240 frames. Shaders are compiled in the background, so the game does not freeze when the scenes are first loaded. The built-in menu has settings, cheats, resource multipliers, an enemy health bar, and system load monitoring.
