Description
God of War II (2) HD continues the story of Kratos, who took the place of the god of war after the death of Ares. However, his cruelty and constant military campaigns displeased Olympus. During the attack on Rhodes, Zeus betrays the Spartan, deprives him of his divine power and kills him with the Sword of Olympus. But death is not the end. The Titan Gaia returns Kratos from the realm of the dead and instructs him to find the Sisters of Destiny who can change the course time. To reach the island, where the timekeepers are located, Kratos has to overcome many obstacles. On the journey, he is helped by the winged Pegasus, and among the characters encountered are Atlas, Prometheus and Icarus. The hero explores ancient structures, makes his way through dangerous territories and encounters creatures from Greek mythology. Each new meeting brings him closer to the main a goal for which he is ready to challenge the entire Olympus.
The combat system is based on the use of blades, magical abilities and special techniques. Kratos can carry out prolonged series of blows, capture opponents, and perform brutal finishing attacks. As you advance, new weapon capabilities and additional abilities open up. A separate place is occupied by battles with large adversaries, to defeat which you have to look for vulnerabilities and perform the necessary actions on time. There are also puzzles with mechanisms, levers and ancient devices. The main storyline gradually reveals the past of the gods and titans, as well as the reasons for Kratos' betrayal. Destroying the Sisters of Destiny becomes the key to returning at the moment of the hero's death. In the final part of his the confrontation with Zeus takes on a completely different scale and affects the fate of Olympus. God of War II (2) HD is for those who want to continue the story of the Ghost of Sparta with an improved image and the familiar dynamics of a classic adventure slasher.
