Daemon x Machina

Daemon X Machina — tells the story of the Earth, on which a giant fragment of the moon fell. Due to the collision, the mystical energy of Femto was released, which influenced the work of artificial intelligence of robotic military equipment. The AI rebelled and began to attack people. In turn, the pilots, who were forced to spend a lot of time in the area with an increased concentration of red particles, received special opportunities that allowed them to become the defenders of the planet.

About This Game

Despite the good plot, the plot does not use even a tenth of its potential, sliding into a primitive set of boring dialogs and strange conversations between missions. The scriptwriters hastily stuck the story to a ready-made set of seventy tasks, without even trying to create something meaningful. The plot is sorely lacking in elaboration. In pursuit of quantity, not quality, the game in each next mission offers to go into battle along with new characters.

Already by the fifth episode there are so many of them that you get confused in the characters, and over time, you just start scrolling through tons of useless monologues made for show. The characters themselves are all dressed alike — only the colors of their costumes configured in the editor differ, and sometimes accessories. Stylish screensavers are still present in the game, but they happen very rarely. Basically you look at clumsy animated doodles and nicely painted portraits.

Scriptwriters used popular anime archetypes and cliches, but did not bother to write stories and normally reveal characters. Therefore, some scenes look like random monologues into the void. Particularly stupid are the black-headed negro in a green suit and the matured Gothic lolita who wants to destroy everyone around for no reason.

The heroes in Daemon X Machina are mercenaries, and different factions send them to each mission. At the same time, the presentation of the plot material is so chaotic that it is simply impossible to fully understand the general plan and sort out the intrigues. Moreover, the game does not have the option of free communication with the NPC, nor an adequate code. There are strange people in your hangar, but they are not interactive. Your robotic walkie-talkie assistant is constantly loading with all kinds of terms, the meaning of which is incomprehensible, and part of the story develops right during the action, so keeping track of the dialogs is almost impossible.
