Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma

Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma introduces the eastern nation of Azuma, a land that has been drastically changed by the Celestial Collapse. Caused by the impact of a massive object, the event split the land, disrupted the flow of runic energy, and caused the disappearance of nature deities. As a result, the land was devastated and its inhabitants faced hardship. Gamers embark on an adventure in the world of Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma, witnessing a battle between dragons and hearing an inner voice that grants them the skills of the Earth Dancer. This power is the means to restore Azuma, prompting the protagonist to fight the changed creatures and rebuild the villages. The central goal of this RPG is to use the aforementioned Dancer skills to stop the corruption that has engulfed the entire land.

As the Earth Dancer, the character uses dance, sacred relics, and fresh weapons, including the Bow and Talisman, to rid the environment and agricultural lands of filth. The gameplay involves reconstructing settlements, where you have to build structures to bring back the inhabitants, who then help to revive the community. This project also involves bringing deities back to life to replenish the world’s resources. The title offers the opportunity to choose a male or female protagonist, who can befriend or develop love lines with a variety of personalities through fully voiced dialogue. Such companions can then help in battles. The setting is characterized by the style of the Land of the Rising Sun in the appearance of heroes and locations, with changing seasons and authentic details that are visible in the landscapes and events.
