About The Game

A classic adventure visual novel based on the Vampire Masquerade series. Vampire The Masquerade Shadows of New York — takes place in a fictional World of Darkness created by the White Wolf. In the basic version of the game, we played the role of a freshly baked vampire from the Camarilla sect, who competed with a group of anarchists the player had to decide which side to take in this vampire conflict. Also set in New York, the story is centered around a Lasombra clan member, has a more personal character and touches on other themes. The heroine, a rogue vampire in her own clan, must unravel the mysterious and brutal death of an anarchist leader from New York. Intrigue is harder than it sounds, and finding out the truth is not an easy task. The assassination is only part of a larger battle for power between rival vampire groups.

Vampire The Masquerade Shadows of New York — is neither a prequel nor a sequel. However, the game makes reference to themes presented in the original, and we meet some of the side characters found in this game. The game shows a completely different face of New York, where we meet new, even more eccentric vampires and find ourselves in previously unknown, equally atmospheric locations. The visual setting as in Vampire The Masquerade Coteries of New York — consists of 2D illustrations. The graphics are done in dark and depressing colors, perfectly fitting into World of Darkness. In addition, the developers have prepared a new atmospheric soundtrack that matches the general atmosphere of the game.
