Description

The strategy game Crown of Hispania invites you to become a powerful ruler in eleventh century Iberia during a turbulent historical era. Christian kingdoms and Muslim leaders are fighting for total dominance over the vast lands and your main goal is to secure your dynasty. You can choose your historical noble and start managing internal politics balancing religious tensions and expanding your territories. The world changes dynamically based on your personal choices so you can write your own legend through bloody wars or peaceful diplomatic agreements and strategic royal marriages.

The core gameplay mechanics offer an unusual approach to warfare because your armies can move completely freely across hundreds of detailed provinces. This freedom lets you use the terrain for clever ambushes and tactical advantages while the actual size of your military forces directly changes their movement speed. A very interesting feature is the aggressive artificial intelligence that actively fights back and adapts to your style instead of being passive. Furthermore the economy requires careful planning since buildings cost money over time rather than requiring a large upfront payment which makes financial stability a thrilling challenge.
