Heck, it’s now cyberpunk, a sickening, cynical entertainment product that actively resists the game. But if you like to cheer a little and enjoy it, it’s still worth a try. The Cruelty Squad is weird enough to turn a blind eye. On Steam Early Access, Cruelty Squad now fits firmly into the nascent sensory violence video game genre, where analyzing chaotic textures, quirky UI elements, and how to even play the damn thing is part of the appeal.
