Star Trek Infection is a survival adventure game in which you assume the role of a Vulcan Starfleet officer trapped aboard the derelict U.S.S. Lumen. The crew has disappeared, and an unknown entity has infected both the ship and your body, causing physical mutations that grant you dangerous new abilities but also undermine your mental health. You must explore the ship while coping with the spreading infection either treating it with medical equipment like the hypospray or accepting mutations to unlock powerful but unstable abilities. The game offers full VR gameplay, where you use your hands to interact with the environment, craft survival tools, and wield classic Starfleet equipment, including a phaser, a medical tricorder, and a Vulcan nerve grip.
