River City Girls 2 is a 2D beat em up inspired by the classic arcade games of the genre. The game was developed by WayFoward Technologies, the team that created the first part of the series and the Shantae series. Its name may not mean much to most players outside of Japan, as its subsequent incarnations have been released in European and American markets under various names, including Super Dodgeball Brawlers, Downtown Smash Dodgeball, or simply River City.
