Hermit and Pig is a turn based adventure with RPG elements, where the combat system demands quick reactions from the player to input attack combos. The effectiveness of each action in combat depends directly on the correct and timely input of a specific button sequence, which is done within a limited time. A similar level of tension is present in the dialogues, built on the concept of social anxiety. Poorly chosen lines result in the protagonist receiving a special clumsiness damage. Exploration of the world involves searching for over 100 varieties of mushrooms, used to restore health and obtain temporary buffs. The project's visual style is deliberately simple, low-poly.
