Knightica tasks commanders with assembling a squad and strategically placing their units to exploit combat synergies. Units have unique abilities that are activated by precise placement and rotation on the battlefield. The player assembles these forces from various factions, such as the Legions of the Undead or the Adepts of the Mages Guild, before they engage in automated battles. The assembled army then sets out on a campaign through a series of trials to liberate the Kingdoms.
