Banquet for Fools — The gods shun the Vollings, and they turn to paganism to survive. But the Vollings are resilient and hardworking. One lord decides to settle an island long abandoned by a lost civilization, and sets out for the cursed land in hopes of cultivating a lucrative spice that only grows on hillsides. His venture is a success, but trouble quickly closes in on him from all sides. As he prepares to sail to protect his fields from an envious neighbor, he is informed that the entire population of one of his farms has disappeared without a trace. With few options left, he asks his guards to find four volunteers to travel to the other end of the island to investigate the mystery. Explore the island of Invimona in this open-world adventure with four customizable companions.

Based on the stats you assign to them, each will have unique dialogue options with NPCs and each other as they grow closer during their journey. To complete the mission, you are assigned a packhorse that can carry a boat, as well as additional items that you pick up along the way, and together you can make hikes and ferries along the rivers and sea of Invimona. Visit towns to find clues and replenish your party with unique items. As a guard, you will be asked for help, because among the holds you will meet various farmers, scribes, artisans and even gadaars. In the five years since the settlement of the island, grave robbers have flocked to Invimona like vultures, and it is a constant struggle to get them to find their way to the Isle of Exile. There is no autocompass or quest log in Banquet for Fools, although many tasks and requests are given to you in scrolls. Navigating the island effectively is part of the difficulty of the quests.
