Hungry Meem v1.3.0 (upd.19.08.2025)

Hungry Meem features a population of creatures facing extinction beneath the roots of the World Tree. The story, found in a picture book, tells of the destruction of their Magic Pot, a device that can cook any food. Players interact directly with this book, changing the course of the story and leading the memes away from their destined fate. The main goal is to guide the surviving creatures and help them rebuild the settlement from scratch, changing the ending of the story.

Creatures in Hungry Meem evolve through direct experience: activities like eating and playing unlock new skills that change their appearance. New generations of memes are created by mating individuals, a process facilitated by buildings like the Love Nest. The crossbreeding mechanic results in many variations of offspring. By eating special dishes at feasts, creatures produce a resource that feeds the World Tree and helps it grow, opening the way for further exploration.

Exploring the open lands around the Tree provides materials for constructing buildings. The gamer can build various structures: from Meme Houses for shelter to buildings for agriculture and resource processing. The crafting system provides tools for managing and gradually expanding the colony. This is how the main gameplay loop is formed: forays into the world for components, returning to create infrastructure and providing for the needs of the population for its continued existence.
