Northwind Build 20115281 (upd.25.09.2025) - P2P

A mercenary in Northwind selects a specific hunt and then plans a route through the dangerous, frozen landscape. The primary objective is to travel across these lands to find and defeat fearsome monsters. Between raids, an outpost serves as a central base for training and upgrading. Gameplay revolves around completing these quests, defeating powerful bosses, and gathering resources to power up subsequent attempts. Success depends on careful planning before each expedition.

Combat in Northwind moves away from direct damage, employing a tug-of-war mechanic where opponents build up their attack power to defeat their opponent. Victory is awarded by outsmarting the enemy, not by depleting their health. Resource management is another key challenge, as mana does not regenerate automatically. Players must strategically manage their available energy, which is determined by the cards played, rather than by an automatically refilled supply. This approach directly links combat capabilities with deckbuilding and tactical decisions in each round.

Battle rewards are converted into crafting materials used at the outpost. Players can enhance cards with new abilities using gems, create duplicates, fuse similar cards into more powerful versions, or smelt mana cards to unlock advanced abilities. This system encourages experimentation with card combinations. Long-term progress is tied to Legacy Points, earned by defeating bosses and unlocking new base amenities and additional tactical options. As a player's power increases, so does the Danger Level, introducing greater threats and increasing challenges in the wilds.
