AETHUS is a sci-fi simulator in which the main goal is to establish a self-sufficient life amid the ruins of a failed research initiative. Gameplay relies on a complex life-saving system that requires monitoring thirst, hunger, and equipment capacity. Exploration takes players into misty underground jungles, scorching magma lakes, and arid caves. To establish a safe zone, outposts are modularly constructed, allowing for the placement of dozens of processing stations. Inside these living quarters, you can breed fish, cultivate flora, and sort precious stones.

The story revolves around Maeve, a former specialist for the Astral Resource Corporation syndicate. Wanting to escape the megacorporation's oppression, she acquires an abandoned plot of land and stumbles upon a conspiracy. Her faithful drone, Roland, helps the protagonist unravel the mysteries hiding a powerful, unknown element. AETHUS's narrative is fully voiced, motivating players to delve deeper into abandoned complexes to uncover the society's secrets. To uncover the truth and protect their independence.
