Technobabylon is a cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game. The game takes place in the year 2087 in the city of Newton. People are increasingly immersed in the world of cyberspace, declining their connection to reality. People are implanting chips called "trances" that allow them to instantly connect to the internet. This leaves the city streets to fend for themselves, ruled by corrupt politicians, artificial intelligence, and hapless detectives who must cope with rising crime rates. The game is divided into 10 chapters and features branching plots.

The gameplay offers a rich inventory of items, challenging puzzles, and tons of dialogue. The game takes place in both the virtual and real worlds. Lata, for example, proves much more interesting in cyberspace thanks to her alter ego than in real life. Minigames, a cooking machine, and an electronic lock are also available online, resulting in some very funny scenes. In reality, the heroes encounter "synths" who are difficult to distinguish from living people. Technobabylon impresses with the amount of detail. Every optional action is accompanied by character commentary, including 102 pre-set contextual lines. Charlie and Max can also play a game of "rock, laser, and paper" at any time. Technobabylon will delight all seasoned fans of classic adventure games with its atmosphere and plot.
