Open space usually means freedom. In Grim Axiom, the new science fiction horror from studio Rare Soup, it means there is nowhere to run. The game gives players a wide map and fills it with danger, then watches how they handle both at once.

The world is yours to cross in any direction. Signals, ruins and strange structures mark the route, and the game refuses to draw the line for you. Every expedition is a small bet: how far to push, when to fall back, what to risk for one more answer. Supplies and stamina keep the walks honest, and the horizon always offers one more place worth the trip.

Threats do not wait politely. Combat arrives suddenly and asks for clean decisions: focus fire, keep moving, spend resources now or save them for the road home. Rare Soup built a space that trusts the player. No corridor rails, no constant instructions, just a hostile land and the tools to read it. For fans of sci-fi horror with room to breathe and room to fear, this one deserves a place on the list.
