How to Update a Game

When a game gets patched, a fresh full release or an update package appears on the game page.

Option 1 — download the updated release

The simplest path: the game page is re-uploaded with the new version included. Download it like a normal game and install it over (or instead of) the old one. The current version is always shown on the game page next to the title.

Option 2 — install an update package

  1. On the game page, find the update download in the Download section.
  2. Download the update archive.
  3. Extract it — typically you will see an Update folder and sometimes a Crack folder.
  4. Copy the contents into your installed game folder, confirming the overwrite when asked.
  5. Launch the game and check the version.

Back up your save files before installing a large update if you want to be safe — saves usually live in your Documents folder or in %USERPROFILE%\AppData.
