Citizen Sleeper is a cyberpunk RPG from the independent one-man studio Jump Over The Age In Other Waters. After their debut AI game, the team decided to give us another trip to a fictional future with Fellow Traveler. This time we get to an old cyberpunk space station. In terms of game mechanics, Citizen Sleeper relies heavily on tabletop role-playing games. The game is divided into cycles, at the beginning of which we roll the dice, and then assign them to the selected action or event dice placement; in computer games, this solution was used, in particular, in Dicey Dungeons. We also have a clock showing the actions of the main character and other inhabitants of the station. The only thing missing is the classic quests they have been replaced with disk quests that also help in developing our character’s five skills Engineer, Interface, Endure, Intuit and Engage.

Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector is a dice-based RPG set in a vibrant asteroid belt known as the Starward Belt. You play as a sleeper a human consciousness in an artificial body on the run from both your corporate creators and a criminal gang, while dealing with a malfunctioning body and lost memories. The game builds on the iconic mechanics of its predecessor with a revamped dice system where you manage stress, deal with system failures, and use class-specific Nudge abilities to influence your destiny. Starting with a battered ship and a loyal pilot named Seraphin, you’ll assemble your crew, complete risky contracts ranging from heists to ship repairs, and navigate between the Belt’s many hubs.

In Other Waters — is an amazingly beautiful adventure, the actions of which unfold on the ocean floor of a planet remote from the Earth, which, unexpectedly, is full of life, secrets and dangers. In Other Waters at first sight makes an indelible impression on people who have at least something to do with design. From the point of view of design, the game is a real work of art and, as it turned out, still have some relation to design, could not afford to write a review In Other Waters. My curiosity was so strong that even put off Animal Crossing: New Horizons for a while to meet In Other Waters and have the opportunity to introduce you to it at the same time.
